What is Shortcode in WordPress?
Shortcodes in WordPress are little bits of code that allow you to do various things with little effort.
Where Should I get CometChat Shortcode in Admin Panel?
1) Login to your Admin Panel with your CometChat credentials.
2) From left Side menu select “Settings->Install CometChat”.
3) In this page, you will get 2 layouts. Docked Layout & Embedded Layout.
4) Get Shortcode from Docked Layout
Click on ‘Add to Site’ Button. Search for ‘WordPress Shortcode’.
5) Get Shortcode from Embedded Layout
Click on ‘Add to Site” Button and after that Click on “Generate Code” Button. Search for ‘WordPress Shortcode’.
In this window you will get Embeded Code for CometChat.
5) Get Shortcode for Group – Embedded Layout
In left side menu click on “Groups”. You will get the list of all group. In the last Column, you will get “Embedded Code For Group” Icon. Click on it you will get the below display.
6) Copy this WordPress Shortcode and paste it to any page.
